Michael Höpfner’s performative walk ‘Walk All Lies Away’ takes us from the Hecherhaus towards the Kellerjoch Chapel. Along the way, we delve into the artist’s working methods, as he explores the traces left by walking and transforms the mountain landscape itself into a resonant space. Along the way, performative experiments unfold that re-examine the alpine space and the view down into the valley towards the settlement area. Walking, silence, imagination, disruption: at several points along the route, Michael Höpfner will read from his own travel notes and from his books, which have been published over the last two years. These writings were produced during several solo expeditions on the Chang Tang Plateau in Tibet, the ascent of Gyaphel Ri near Lhasa, and selected passages from the book *From Here to Tibet – a conversation between two walking artists* with the British walking artist Hamish Fulton, and the book *Walk all the Lies Away* in collaboration with the Romanian author Svetlana Carstean. The event is easily accessible via the Kellerjochbahn; tickets must be purchased individually. The event is free of charge and forms part of the Silbersommer 2026. Sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended, as the performances take place outdoors. Participation is at your own risk.
